<p>Sitges is a small town located in Catalonia. During a week, the city transforms into a spectacular attraction for numerous tourists. The carnival started on February 8 and will continue to impress people until February 14, 2018.</p>
<p>The carnival is characterized as a colorful event, which attracts over 250.000 visitors each year. You have the chance to take part of spectacular parades, shows and wild parties.</p>
<p>You shouldn’t miss the final parade, entitled “<em>Entierro de la Sardina</em>” or “<em>Day of the Sardine</em>”. This one will make you want to dance among all the young ladies and men that parade the streets.</p>

<h2><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>Basel Fasnacht, Switzerland </strong></span></h2>
<p><img class="alignnone wp-image-993" src="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Basel-Fasnacht.jpg" alt="" width="632" height="423" srcset="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Basel-Fasnacht.jpg 700w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Basel-Fasnacht-300x201.jpg 300w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Basel-Fasnacht-768x514.jpg 768w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Basel-Fasnacht-775x518.jpg 775w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Basel-Fasnacht-389x260.jpg 389w" sizes="(max-width: 632px) 100vw, 632px" /></p>
<p>The event takes place in the city Basel and is known as the biggest carnival in Switzerland. There are over 18.000 active <em>Fasnachtler</em> who dress in specific costumes and go out on the streets hiding behind masks.</p>
<p>This year, the carnival will take place between 19-21 February. The most awaited moment is <em>Morgenstreich</em>. This one is a parade which starts once all the lights are turned off in the city. Numerous masked men are performing Cliques on the streets.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>The Carnival of Ivrea, Italy </strong></span></h2>
<p><img class="alignnone wp-image-994" src="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/carnival-ivrea.jpg" alt="" width="655" height="436" srcset="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/carnival-ivrea.jpg 700w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/carnival-ivrea-300x200.jpg 300w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/carnival-ivrea-768x511.jpg 768w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/carnival-ivrea-775x515.jpg 775w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/carnival-ivrea-391x260.jpg 391w" sizes="(max-width: 655px) 100vw, 655px" /></p>
<p>The carnival takes place in the city Ivrea and is one of the most unusual events in Europe. This year it was held between 8-13 January.</p>
<p>For six days, the city transforms into a battle game with oranges. Over 500.000 kg of zingy citrus are “wasted” these days.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>Carnival of Venice, Italy </strong></span></h2>
<p><img class="alignnone wp-image-996" src="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/mask-of-venice-1843531_640.jpg" alt="" width="617" height="463" srcset="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/mask-of-venice-1843531_640.jpg 640w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/mask-of-venice-1843531_640-300x225.jpg 300w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/mask-of-venice-1843531_640-347x260.jpg 347w" sizes="(max-width: 617px) 100vw, 617px" /></p>
<p>The carnival of Venice is perhaps the most awaited event in Europe. The spectacular masks, the colors and the mystery of the involved characters transform the <em>San Marco Square</em> into a destination from a previous age.</p>
<p>The event started on 27 January 2018 and ends on 13 February 2018. Visitors are enchanted by the magic of the city’s mystery, which makes them become a special audience.</p>
<p>More <a href="https://venice-carnival-italy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>here</strong></a>.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>Busojaras, Hungary</strong></span></h2>
<p><img class="alignnone wp-image-997" src="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Busojaras-Hungary.jpg" alt="" width="590" height="392" srcset="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Busojaras-Hungary.jpg 700w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Busojaras-Hungary-300x199.jpg 300w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Busojaras-Hungary-768x509.jpg 768w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Busojaras-Hungary-1024x679.jpg 1024w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Busojaras-Hungary-775x514.jpg 775w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Busojaras-Hungary-392x260.jpg 392w" sizes="(max-width: 590px) 100vw, 590px" /></p>
<p>The carnival is taking place in the small town called Mohacs, Hungary. It started on 8 February and will end on 13 February 2018.</p>
<p>This event is a tradition for the locals. The idea came taking into account the cold winter in the country. To expel the cold, the locals have put into practice a carnival that later became one of the most successful in the country.</p>
<p>It is characterized by numerous parades held on the city’s streets. The unusual moment is the final parade, called <em>Farsangvasarnap</em> or <em>Sunday Carnival. </em>The men are dressing up in cloaks and horned mask which later entertain the visitors.</p>
<p><strong><em>Europe seems to bloom up especially in the winter season. The carnivals are attracting thousands of tourists to each destination. Due to their characteristics, they always delight the audience and show the other side of a city. Do not miss any carnivals held in Europe, </em><em>particularly</em> <em>these</em> <em>ones! Try new things and new places every year.</em></strong></p>

<p>Also, the old grocery market, now hosts cooking books.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone wp-image-517" src="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/grocery.jpg" alt="" width="635" height="317" srcset="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/grocery.jpg 700w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/grocery-300x150.jpg 300w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/grocery-768x383.jpg 768w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/grocery-775x387.jpg 775w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/grocery-521x260.jpg 521w" sizes="(max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px" /></p>
<p>It goes without saying that the city’s hotels follow the same example. The “Literary Man” hotel hosts about 40.000 books.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone wp-image-518" src="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/litary-manhotel.jpg" alt="" width="622" height="341" srcset="https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/litary-manhotel.jpg 700w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/litary-manhotel-300x164.jpg 300w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/litary-manhotel-768x421.jpg 768w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/litary-manhotel-775x424.jpg 775w, https://touristspot.eu/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/litary-manhotel-475x260.jpg 475w" sizes="(max-width: 622px) 100vw, 622px" /></p>
<p><span style="color: #000080;"><strong>2015 was the year when UNESCO declared Óbidos as “The Literature City”, behind Dublin and Barcelona. A visit from the worldwide bookworms is a MUST.</strong></span></p>

<p>Construction of the bridge began on 19 July 2009 (the same day as the inauguration of the nearby Thuận Phước Bridge). Dragon Bridge is 666m long, 37.5m wide and has six lanes for traffic.</p>
<p><strong>Main span was completed on October 26, 2012. The bridge was opened to traffic on March 29, 2013, the 38th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City.</strong></p>
<p>This modern bridge crosses the Han River at the Le Dinh Duong/Bach Dang traffic circle, providing the shortest road link from the Da Nang International Airport to other main roads in Da Nang city, and a more direct route to My Khe Beach and Non Nuoc Beach on the eastern edge of the city.</p>
<p><strong>The bridge was designed and built in the shape of a dragon and to breathe fire each Saturday and Sunday night at 9PM.</strong></p>
